Pink Blinders!

Every reading has a challenge to it in that the reader must make a successful connection to the other
side whether it be a connection to the sitter's favorite aunt Patsy or to their guardian angel, Raphael.
Either way, that connection must occur and it is the responsibility of the reader to bring it about.  I
gladly accept that responsibility and daily strengthen my spirit and Divine connection with meditation
and prayer.  So, I'm prepared to communicate and deliver the messages, yet, every once in a while
nothing much happens.  That's just the way of life for us humans.  No matter how much we think we are
always in control, we aren't!

It was late afternoon when my sitter, a woman I like very much and consider a friend called for her
appointment.  At first Anna (not her real name) and I caught up on our personal lives and then as Spirit
made herself known I started to work, a little this, a little that, all very pleasant, but something was
missing.   No grandparents, uncles or aunts, brothers or sisters wanted  to talk.  What was going on?
Why the silent treatment?

Just about then I heard tears and sorrow coming from Anna.  Emotions were getting the best of her
and poor Ann felt entirely alone and unable to see her path, let alone walk it.

So did I.  Where were my guides?  Where were Anna's guides?

Frustrated, confused I prayed, "Please help me to deliver just the right message for Anna. "   Nothing
came to me.   "OK, help, now," I urgently prayed, "tell me what to say, tell me what to do."

Still no answer arrived.  What was going on?  Maybe this was the time to call the reading finished and
make a suggestion that she see a professional councilor.  Sometimes that's the best choice.  "Anna," I
said, slowly, as it had to be the time to give up.

Before I could get the rest of my surrender out, Spirit surprised me.

Out of the blue and into my mind appeared a  black horse wearing
 PINK BLINDERS!  Yes, I really
mean it.
Pink Blinders!  Bright pink, happy blinders,  bubble gum pink blinders.  Nothing
ordinary, no leather, no plastic.  Just the softest silk ever spun.  Nothing binding, just the most
comfortable fit ever imagined.  There was absolutely nothing frightening about them.  And to my delight
and relief, I knew, I understood what my guides were telling me.  "Here's a tool for you and Anna.  Use
them."

The blinders were nothing more than a tool to keep us focused on the road in front of us.  When the
mind is focused on what is before us, then peripheral distractions and 'what if' fears aren't nearly as
frightening.  We don't have to focus on them.  We have a tool to help us look toward the Divine and
thus stay calm.   And thankfully, I actually understood all of that.  That beautiful horse was simply a
messenger bringing Anna a gift.

"You're not gonna believe this," I said greatly relieved, " but my guides just showed me a black horse
wearing  "

"What?" she responded, "did you say
PINK BLINDERS?"

"I sure did," I laughed.  "Anna, you might have felt lost, but a beautiful black horse wearing pink blinders
just came to guide you along your path."

During the next hour Anna and I talked and listened as Spirit revealed an exercise to build up our faith
and our trust.  Of course, I immediately claimed a pair of pink blinders for myself.  I figured if  the Divine
cared enough to give Anna a gift, you know darn well, we all get a pair of them - IF we choose to
accept them.

Just one thing more.  If this sounds like something you  want to experiment with, keep reading.  I've
written all the directions below. Have fun and play, yes, play because the better you can imagine the
pink blinders helping you stay focused, the better the results.

Bring on those Pink Blinders

Whenever your path is layered by rocky emotions, and fears, and you can't see your path, here's what
you do:

1.  Reach up to heaven and imagine a beautiful angel delivering your very own personalized  pair of
blinders,
PINK BLINDERS.

Make this experience your own.  If you want purple blinders, fine!  If you want the black shinny horse to
deliver them, fine.   Your guardian angel doesn't care about color, mine simply loves the color pink and
I prefer angel shapes to horse shapes. What 's important is that you grab on to help from the Divine.

2.  Look down at your path.  Scary, huh.  Never fear.  That angel I told you about is also carrying  some
other magical, mystical tools and gets to work sweeping your problems up into nice easy to handle
little piles.  Didn't you always know, God never gives us more than we can handle?  Anyone can handle
one day at a time.  Even ME.  Even YOU!

3.  See the angel again.  Beautiful, isn't she/he?  And here is a job for you.  The angel carries a
pocketful of
GRATITUDE just right for sprinkling over the path.  Do it now, have fun.  Toss it all over
your life.  In every hardship and over every fear spread some
GRATITUDE.  After all, if we didn't have
problems how would we ever appreciate JOY! So be grateful!

4.  Here's the best part - and the last part.  When you've spread enough
GRATITUDE in your life, the
only thing it can manifest into is
ATTITUDE.  Down home 'I CAN DO IT!  Peaceful acceptance of my
life.  Anything is possible with the Divine.  Anything is possible with God - We can get through anything
if our sight is on the DIVINE, not the fear.

5.
